Shorts Deck is a dashboard for viewing analytics across your YouTube and TikTok channels. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed the product to hold as little of your data as possible.
1. Information we access
When you add a YouTube channel, we query the public YouTube Data API for that channel's public statistics (subscribers, views, video counts) and recent videos. This is public information and does not require you to log in.
When you connect a TikTok account, you authorize Shorts Deck through TikTok's official Login Kit (OAuth). We then read your profile stats and your video list using the scopes you approve. We never see or store your TikTok password.
2. How we store data
Your connected channel list and cached statistics live only in your current browser session and are cleared when the session ends. We do not maintain a long-term database of your analytics.
TikTok access tokens are stored in a secure, httpOnly session cookie so your browser can request your data. These tokens are scoped to the permissions you granted and can be revoked at any time.
3. How we use your data
We use the data solely to display your analytics in the dashboard and to generate the lists of recent Shorts URLs you choose to copy. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
4. Third-party services
Shorts Deck relies on the YouTube Data API and the TikTok Display API. Your use of data retrieved through these services is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and TikTok's Privacy Policy respectively. We encourage you to review them.
5. Revoking access
You can disconnect a TikTok account from within the dashboard at any time, which removes its session token. You can also revoke Shorts Deck's access directly from your TikTok account settings. Removing a YouTube channel simply stops us from querying its public data.
